The leader of the group and 26 Tomball, Texas company, native Sergeant Alex M. Piasecki provides security during a field exercise in amphibious assault vehicles, the company transported ashore from the USS New Orleans offshore. The company is one of three rifle companies in Battalion Landing Team 3/1, the ground combat element for the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The unit began a year Wed, September 1, its second aboard amphibious ships since obtaining a working full marine air-ground in May.
